Reforming Boston's Schools: Overcoming Racism and Oppression

Full Description:

In 2006, the Boston Public School system won the Eli Broad Prize as
the Most Improved Urban School System in America. But from the 1930’s into the 1970’s the city’s schools
succumbed to scandals including the sale of jobs as well as decisions to reinforce racial segregation. What
forces moved the city forward? Who will carry Boston’s schools to the next
level today?
